CHRIS LOW

Chris is a director and cinematographer who hails from Brooklyn, NY and currently splits his time between Los Angeles and New York. He graduated from NYU’s Tisch film program and has since spent his time telling stories both real and imagined in such far flung places such as the Congo and Iraq, as well as the most obscure truck stops in Oklahoma. He has a strong emphasis on visuals dense with mood and conveying a sense of intimacy with his subjects.

Being the son of food obsessed restaurateurs (and being food obsessed himself) he has naturally found himself telling many (but not exclusively) food stories - with the hopes of portraying both food and people equally with respect and dignity.

His short Black Ghost Son, about a single Chinese father raising his black son, debuted at Tribeca Film Festival and was nominated for Best Narrative Short and is currently being developed into a feature. Chris continues to work on developing a number of projects both in and out of film.

You may have seen him in season 2 of Amazon’s Making The Cut or possibly at his restaurant Hainan Chicken House in Brooklyn.
